Addison is 7!

February 9th was Addison's birthday. She was so excited when she woke up that she was finally 7! This little girl wants to grow up so fast, it is scary. She asked for an American Girl doll for her birthday and we ordered it (a bit late unfortunately). It was scheduled to be delivered on her birthday and when I went online that day to check it had changed and was not scheduled for delivery until the 11th. Ryan and I felt so bad and so I quickly ran to the toy store to get her a couple of things to open on her birthday. She was actually okay with her doll arriving late and she did receive it on Friday.

For her birthday, we had a wonderful dinner of Sloppy Joe's and chocolate cake without frosting. All at her request. On Saturday we went to Chuck E. Cheese's for games with her cousins. I stupidly forgot my camera and so I did not get a picture of the wonderful cake my mother made for her. Addie wanted a "Strawberry Shortcake" cake and of course Val came through with it. My mom is amazing and I am so glad she loves to make the cakes because it makes it easier on me. Addie had a great birthday and was spoiled by all. We are so happy she is in our family. She is our tenderhearted little girl who has empathy for everyone and wants everyone to be happy. We love you Addie!

Ashman's Room

We also had the drum and feather logo painted on Asher's wall. He needed something more, I felt like his walls were so bare. It too was finished today and I decided to hang an extra shelf and a decorative plaque above his window (once again, I used a tape measure and level). I love how it turned out!

Sedgwick Baby # Dos' Room

I finally finished the room for the new baby! We decided to go with a New York Yankees theme. I painted the bottom half of the walls navy blue and the top white. We have a plethora of Yankees pictures and other memorabilia so we had plenty of stuff to hang on the walls. Bedding was a bit harder to find. There were Yankee crib sets if you wanted to spend $300 and I did not! I finally found a set that was on clearance at Target that would go well enough with the color scheme. The problem was, it didn't come with a bed skirt and I really like the bed skirts. After searching and only finding bed skirts that cost more than my bedding I decided to make my own. It turned out pretty good, good enough that I am happy with it.

My sister-in-law's brother came and painted the Yankee logo on the wall and it looks AMAZING! I am so happy with it! He just finished it up today and Ryan went out of town this morning. I am not one to wait so I decided to hang the pictures by myself (don't worry Ryan, I used a tape measure and the level). I am really happy with how it turned out and hope the next four weeks fly by fast, I am ready to be done being pregnant!

Before - It used to be Sadie's room
