May Re-cap

Warning: This is an extremely LONG post.
May has been extremely busy, especially with me going to school six days a week. I have Spanish every day, math on Monday and Wednesday and Yoga on Saturday mornings. My reasoning for taking Yoga was that I needed one more credit to qualify for summer financial aid so I found Yoga and talked Brianna into taking it with me. I am surprised how well it works your body and how sore I am following the class. This past Saturday, we did partner yoga and Brianna and I were both VERY grateful that we took it together. I am really enjoying Spanish this semester. My professor is a native Argentine and it took a little while to get used to the accent. It is so much better to go every day and to be spoken to in Spanish the entire time. I am definitely learning a lot more and really enjoying it.
The first Sunday in May Ryan blessed Asher. It was really nice and afterwards we had lunch with family and friends. The outfit that I had originally bought for him to be blessed in turned out to be to small by the time we blessed him (we waited until our church time moved from 9 to 1 when we moved buildings in April...much easier for everyone to be there). So a few weeks before I had to find a new outfit, it actually turned out really cute. I am not a fan of the white blessing outfits that they have for boys and I had always had it in my mind that I would dress a boy in normal church clothes. His little green shirt and sweater vest with his navy pants turned out really cute. He would not smile for me that morning even with my mom and sisters trying to help out.

Asher @ 3 months wearing 6-12 month clothes! He is around 17 lbs in this pic.

Both Addie and Sadie got glasses. Addie needed them and Sadie was borderline so we decided to get hers as well in hopes that they will help correct her eyesight and she won't need them when she is older. It was no surprise that they would need glasses since I cannot see ANYTHING without contacts or glasses and Ryan is not much better. They are really cute with their glasses and do a good job of wearing them.

No clue where Addie learned the peace sign. Never mind, Ryan just informed me that he was the one who taught her that and is very proud she did it in the pic.

Sadie with her purple framed glasses. I love them, she is so cute in them.
Addie with her pink rimmed glasses with flowers on the side. She LOVES to do different poses for pictures. She kills me.

Finally last week while I was at school and my wonderful sister-in-law Britt was watching the girls, Sadie somehow rammed her mouth into the handle bars of her scooter and pushed her top, left big tooth back. My sister-in-law felt so bad (no worries Britt, it's Sadie and she is glutton for punishment). I took her to the dentist the next day and he was able to push it back and told us to try and keep it pushed forward until the ligaments tightened again. Well after being so good at the dentist and allowing him to push her tooth forward without crying (she was too involved in the Dora movie that was playing) when the tooth moved back, she would not let Ryan or I touch it to push it forward again. The dentist also told me to watch and make sure that it did not develop an abscess. Well, by Saturday she was showing signs of an abscess and we went to the dentist today and it was confirmed. He is going to pull the tooth next Thursday. Sadie is going to be toothless for probably the next three years, but oh well, what do you do? I have decided that Sadie is going to be my child that is always needing stitches, or has broken something. It's a good thing though, since she is the one that is NOT dramatic (Addison). So if it is going to happen to one of my kids I am glad it is Sadie and not Addie.
And finally....Asher has had a cold for the past two weeks. He was still eating and sleeping fine so I didn't think that we needed to go to the Dr. so I could be told it was viral and to wait it out (his well baby check is in a week and I was hoping we could make it, but it was not to be). My sister-in-law sent me a text today that he had been crying about the whole time I was at school. He had been a little more irritable the past few days so I called the Dr. because I figured it was his ears AGAIN. Sure enough, both ears are infected. This is the third one and if he has one more it will be tubes for him. In a way I am hoping he has another one because tubes were the best thing that we had done for Sadie. Oh and my GINORMOUS baby weighed in at 18 lbs 1 oz today! No wonder my back hurts.
We have also been redoing some things in the yard and Ryan has been working VERY hard. I will post pics when it is finished, it is really looking good!

Grandpa Kimbo

My dad is so funny with the grandkids. With Ryan out of town, I spent yesterday at my parents and Amber's (they live across the street from one another). Ryker and Asher were laying on a blanket together when my dad came in and started playing with them. He just makes me laugh, he is such a good grandpa.

Swimming

Ryan is out of town until tomorrow so I took the kids swimming today so that they would be really sleepy when it came time to go to bed. It worked! They have all been asleep since 8:00 with Sadie being the first to konk out @ 7:30! They all had a great time, even Asher who layed in the pool for about 45 minutes before he got too cold. Alek and Amber came with us too and everyone had a lot of fun!

Addie only wants to swim in the "deep" end.

Asher just chillin' in the pool
