Old Man Triathlon and Easter Party

Today my dad and father-in-law participated in the American Fork Triathlon.  They have been training for a bit, nothing too serious and they weren't super worried about time, just that they would finish.  I am so upset because I was too late to see my dad come across the finish line.  Man that old man can run fast!  We were there for Grandpa Jeffy-Poo and it was so fun to see our kids excited to hold the signs we made and cheer on their grandparents.

Later we ended up at my parent's for the annual Easter party where we ate, colored eggs, had a scavenger hunt for Easter baskets and an Easter egg hunt.  The kids played non stop and came home sunburned and most important TIRED!  It was a good day and once again so proud of my dad and Jeff for their big accomplishment! Love you guys!!!

It's been awhile....

School makes it hard to try and post.  FB makes it so easy to quickly throw up something up.  Here are a few pics that I took off my camera.

My grandpa rebuilt this 1917 Ford... I think?  I can't remember.  Anyway, my kids think it is the coolest thing ever.  It runs and everything.  You have to crank it to start up the motor.  According to Asher it is "freaking awesome!!!"

This was over labor day at Mikey P's baptism.

Catch Up!

So its been three months since my last post but it was a crazy semester at school, including crying during a presentation I had to give (in my defense, I was running on 3 hours sleep and the harder I tried not to cry, the faster the tears rolled down my face).  A lot has happened in three months, Addison was baptised, Diet turned one and started walking, Sadie graduated from Kindergarten, and Ryan graduated with his MBA!
Addison was baptized on March 3 and the week leading up to her baptism, the entire family came down with the flu(which is why I got ONE picture of her on her baptism).  Addison got better just before her baptism which was great.  The rest of us were sick but we made it through.

Easton got the shaft for his first birthday.  I was so sick, we gave him a cookie on his birthday, he went to town.  We celebrated his birthday during Addison's baptism brunch and finally cut his cake a few days later.  Good thing he won't remember it.

We were able to go down to Mesquite for Easter and spend it with Grandpa Jeffy Poo, Aunt Chris and Uncle Dan.  We had a great time, and the weather was awesome!

At the end of April, Ryan graduated with his MBA!!!! We are so proud of him and it was a really fun day.  I of course was late and missed the procession and of course, the MBA students walked in first so I missed that.  We were able to sit on the front row thanks to Grandpa for going early and saving us seats.  When Ryan received his diploma and hood, Asher shouted "Good job DAD!!!"  It was great and Ryan could totally hear him.

Its a start to what we have been up to, there is much more to come....

The 8 year old's PaRtY!

We give our kids birthday parties on their even birthday's.  This year Addison chose to go rock climbing for her birthday.  I was SO happy we didn't have to go to Chuck E. Cheese again, and this was something we haven't done as far as birthday parties go.  Luckily, her ear infection was under control (thanks to the wonderful antibiotics).  We rented out the rock wall at the Legacy Center for an hour and the girls (8 plus Asher) probably each got to climb 10-12 times each.  I even scaled it once and it was TOUGH!  It was so much fun and they all wanted their pictures taken each time they got higher and higher.  Asher was hilarious and wouldn't let go of the rope so I would push him up as far as I could get him and then he would repel down.  That was his most favorite part, and he was so funny.
All the girls seemed to have a great time, even Aubree (Addie's BFF who is scared of heights) kept climbing a little higher each time.  I have to give her a lot of credit for continuing to climb over and over with her fear of heights.
Afterwards we came back to the house for pizza and cake and icecream.  The girls were all so cute and so nice to Addie with the presents they gave her.  They all made it such a nice birthday for her.
 Ready to climb!

Addison is 8!!!

Our Addie poo stain a Crocodile turned 8 years old yesterday!  She has been looking forward to this birthday for a very long time! At 2:30 in the morning she came into our room complaining that her ear hurt.  She was unable to go back to sleep because of the pain.  Poor thing was still so excited and was functioning well considering she had about 4 hours of sleep total.  We let her open her presents that morning before Ryan went to work.  She got Rollerblades and her baptism dress.  She was very excited about both and very thankful (oh how she is growing up).  She went to school that morning because she was so excited to hand out her birthday treats.  I took her into the Dr at 11:00 and sure  enough ear infection!  She was insistent on going back to school but ten minutes after dropping her off, she called me saying she felt like she was going to throw up.  No kidding!  4 hours of sleep will do that to you.  I brought her home and she slept the rest of the afternoon, got up and played in her basketball game.  We love this BIG girl and are so blessed to have her in our family.  We are so excited for her to turn 8 and be baptised next month.
What a way to spend your birthday...at the doctor's
So grown up!

Asher is 3!!!

Yes, our wild and crazy Ashman turned 3 on January 22. He was very excited about his birthday this year and asked to go to "Chuck Cheese." He had all his cousins and his friend Hendrix come and they had a great time! He even gave Chuck E. Cheese five which is HUGE for this kid who is scared of anything dressed in an over sized animal costume (the cow at Chick-fil-A being the worst of the bunch). We love this crazy funny kid and are so blessed to have him in our family.
He specifically requested a "helmet" cake
They LOVE their Uncle Brett!
