They really do.

Easter 2008

Easter was a lot of fun this year. Addie woke up early as usual and told me she was going downstairs to watch a movie. Ryan and I of course fell back asleep. When Sadie woke up we decided that it was time to find the eggs. When we went to find Addie we discovered that she had already found most of the eggs. So we only have video of Sadie finding the last few remaining eggs.

Do you see one up there?

Good thing Uncle Mike was there to help out.

Our little tender heart

Addison is such a tender hearted little girl. She is lying here watching Disney's The Rescuers and almost in tears because Penny is sad that she doesn't have a mom. She has seen the show but it has been a while and so I don't think she remembers how it turns out. It is comforting to know that even through her nasty four year old phase she is putting us all through right now (10x worse than the terrible 2's)that underneath it all she is still our sweet little Addie.

Random Sadie

I just had to blog this because I thought that it was hilarious. I went to check on Sadie, she had been asleep for over an hour. In true Sadie fashion she was sleeping bent in half. I don't know if she falls asleep sitting up or what but the girl is limber. Anyway, I layed her down and as I went to cover her up I noticed that she was wearing a pair of her crocs. She had gotten them out of the closet and our little o.c.d. girl had of course closed the closet doors after straightening it up. I wish her older sister would pick up on Sadie's cleaning habits. Anyway, that is all, I just thought that I would share it.

My new nephew...My only nephew

Alek Rafal Hajdo was born March 13, 2008 at 2:50 in the afternoon. He weighed in at an astounding 6 lbs 11 ozs and is 19 inches long.

He has a ton of Strawberry blonde hair with a little bit of a wave. For those of you who know my sister, this should come as no surprise since she has very naturally curly hair. He is the cutest little guy with a set of lungs on him. We are so excited that he is here, especially Amber who was dealing with extreme swollen ankles over the past three weeks.

Addie is so excited that her "brother" Rafal Junior is finally here. I know, we have tried to convince her that he is her cousin but she said she has a sister and a cousin Oaklee. She however does not have a brother so he is her brother. Here is how the conversation went when I told her he was born.
Desi: Amber had Alek this afternoon.
Addie: You mean he is out...out of her tummy?
Desi: Yes and he has a lot of red hair.
Addie: Like me!!! Oh mom, he really is my brother!
Amber is going to have quite the little helper when Addie is around. She already is talking about how she wants to teach him to walk and talk.

We are all happy that he is here and Amber and Alek are doing great!

Safety Grates

This past weekend, Ryan had a booth at the Home and Garden Show. It went well for him and there were a lot of people who showed a lot of interest. He has already given quite a few bids so we are hoping that it will take off. BTW... if anyone needs grates for their windwells I know where you can get some for a very affordable price. http://www.safetygrates.com/

Addie Dancing at the Utah game

We went to the Utah game last Tuesday. At half time, the Crimson Line came out to dance and Addie of course joined in with her own rendition. I apologize that it is sideways, I am still learning how to use the video function on my camera.

Everybody poops....except Sadie

Sadie has been potty trained for two months now, pooping however is still a trial. I don't know if it is the whole privacy thing or what but she sits on the toilet for an hour or more before she is able to go (and even then she is not always successful). To pass the time we paint toes and fingers. I made the mistake of leaving the bathroom for all of 30 seconds and I came back to her having painted her forehead with fingernail polish. I guess the best thing I can say is that she didn't paint her hair or eyes.
