Happy Birthday Addison!!!

Addison finally turned 6 today!!! She has been waiting for this day for probably 8 months now and she has been driving us crazy pouting about turning 6. Well thank the heavens that she is now 6! She was so excited this morning. I went into her room this morning and woke her up singing Happy Birthday. She sat up and asked me if she was 6 now. After she was ready for school, I was trying to get her to eat breakfast but she was too excited. I finally got her to eat half a granola bar and that was all she could do.
After school, we took her to "the Chuck" for lunch. Grandpa Jeffy Poo was up from Mesquite for her birthday so he was there as was Aunt Erin, Uncle Brett, Uncle Britt (story for another time), Aunt Amber and Aleky. Our server noticed that it was her birthday and they brought her a root beer float and sang her Happy Birthday.
She had a basketball game tonight so a lot of the family came to watch her play and then it was back to the house for sloppy joes (Addie's favorite dinner), cake and ice cream and presents.
Ryan and I gave her a Leapster with two games and my parents gave her another game to go with it as well. She is in heaven and played it all night long. As I finish this post, I went to check on her in her room because she was coughing so hard and she was still up playing the Leapster! I informed her that it was 11:30 and if she wanted to keep her Leapster, she had better put it away and go to sleep! She did so very quickly!
We love you Addie poo! You bring so much laughter into our lives. You are such a sweet, tender hearted little girl who is a friend to everyone. We can't believe you are already 6! The time has flown by and it won't be long before you turn 16 (sniff, sniff). We love you and are so grateful you are part of our family.
Grandma Val made her a "Hello Kitty" cake

Opening presents: She was so nice with Sadie this year and letting her help. She is definitely growing up.

Grandma Bushman gave Addie and Ariel nightgown and Sadie was so sad because she wanted one too. This is something Addie would have done, so we were all really surprised when Sadie did it. Grandma Bushman is so nice and ordered Sadie her own Ariel nightgown when she got home tonight.

Asher was a HUGE fan of the cake!

Stuck

He climbed over the tall rung of the chair and got himself stuck. He did however get the ball that he was after. He wasn't happy with me taking his picture before rescuing him from the "cage" of the chair. I may have to use this in the future to contain the little monster. (wink, wink)

Asher's 1 Year Stats

I took Asher into the doctor on Monday for his 1 year well baby check. He is doing great, the doctor said. Here is the breakdown:
Weight: 27.25 lbs (94%)
Height: 33.0 inches (99%)
Head: 19.1 inches (95%)
My doctor told me he is is very average....for a 30 month old!
On the paperwork that I received it gives the average height and weight for his age and for weight it is 22.8 lbs and height 29.8 in. So basically, I have a GINORMOUS little boy!
Asher is still not walking, he doesn't have a lot of interest and that is fine with me. He crawls so flippin' fast that he is hard to keep up with. He knows how to say "Daddy" and "Ma Ma". He tries to say his sisters names and usually gets the ending "e" sound right. He is looking right at them when he says it so I am guessing that is what he is going for. He loves to torment his sisters already and wants to climb all over them and bug them in the car.
The other day I was combing Addie's hair (I do this in my room in front of the t.v. so they are occupied) and he crawled over, grabbed the bow, pulled himself up and placed it on her head. I laughed so hard, he is obviously paying attention.

He's a BIG help in the kitchen!
