Utah defeats Michigan, 25-23 at the Big House!

Ryan is in Michigan where he attended the game. I stayed behind because I have a Saturday morning class and since this was the first day of class I figured that I should be there (also didn't want to leave the girls). Anyway, it was a great game even though we almost gave it away in the last quarter, but thanks to Louie Sakoda and his excellent kicking, the Utes won a big one. GO UTES!!!

Camping at Hobble Creek

Last weekend, we were able to go up Hobble Creek Canyon and camp with Ryan's mom and the Bonnster. The girls had a ball until it was time to go to bed in the tent. Addie suddenly was scared and wanted to go home to her bed even with all of us in there with her. Ryan's mom and Bonnie decided to go home for the night because they both had to work the next morning so we went and slept in the trailer. The girls settled right down and slept until nine the next morning. The next day, Brent, Britt and Oaklee came up to play and they headed right down to the creek. These are the pre strip down to their panties and filthy with mud pics (which I will hopefully get soon :)). They had a great time and were absolutely filthy when we got home. Thanks Marie and Bonnie for a great weekend.

Spirit of the Games

Addison loves to watch the gymnastics on TV, and everytime she does she starts to do her own tumbling. This is video of her doing her "flips" as she watches the girls do the balance beam.

Viola gives an A-

Today I checked grades and I saw that I earned an A- in Viola's class. I was actually surprised! My first "Reflection" paper on Mein Kampf was horrible and I knew it. I didn't read the book because if she really wanted my reflection on it then she would not have required 5 other sources to be included in the paper. I think I got a B- on it and thought well this class is shot as long as I pass it is all I care about. Luckily I did well on the tests and did get my 30 pts a day for attending. I also did well on my second reflection paper on Mandela's Long Walk Home (Which I didn't read either). I gave her a horrible evaluation which I still don't feel bad about even with my A-. I earned a 3.85 G.P.A. this summer with my classes so I figure that isn't too shabby! I am ready to move onto fall semester and am actually looking forward to Aug 27th. All of my classes are with professors that I have had in the past and really enjoy taking classes from so it should be a good (but very busy) semester. Anyway, this is a shout out to Viola for surprising me with an A-!

Summer Evening

Addie and Sadie were having a great time riding scooters and rollerskating. Just as Addie is getting used to her skates, they are getting too small.

Friday, Sadie decided to help Ryan mow the lawn. I think he thought that she would give up after a few minutes but she was determined to stick it out until the end.

Aunt Nanny and Uncle Mike

Today, Aunt Nanny (Brianna) married Mike Fielding. It was a good ceremony with Addie and Sadie being the flower girls (when I get pics i will post them). The wedding and reception took place at the White Willow in Provo and it was really nice. We had a lot of good food to eat following the wedding and everyone had a good time. Congratulations Brianna and Mike, we are so happy for you!
p.s. Addie did not cry once, even when she didn't catch the bouquet. We are making progress!

Hair Cut?

Today Addie came in to tell me that Sadie was out back cutting hair. I did not understand exactly what she meant when she told me initially. I then remembered that I had left the hair cutting scissors out back from when I had cut the dog's hair (I know how dumb of a parent am I). As I walked out back and looked at the back porch at first it looked like she had gotten to Rosie's tail and then I took a look at Sadie. It was not Rosie, instead Sadie had fashioned herself a mullet. I was surprised that I was not mad, instead I was trying to hold back my laughs because really, the damage was done there was no point in getting mad. However, it was about 12:30 in the afternoon and my sister Brianna was getting married at 4:00. Luckily, Stacy who cuts all of our hair was nice enough to fit us in after she finished styling Brianna. She did a great job, and luckily Sadie has curl so she just cut it short and evened it up and it turned out really cute. She looks really different but she is still so cute!
