We were able to spend a week up at Island Park on Bill's Island. Our friends mother has a friend who has an amazing cabin right on the reservoir and he loans it to her every year for a week. It was SO much fun! Ryan had to go to Orlando for a business trip for the first part of the week so the kids and I went up by ourselves for the first little bit. The girls had a blast "fishing" off the dock (it was more casting and reeling it back in...), Asher was just happy to be outside near the water. There were these little blow up row boats that were tied to the dock. I would put him in one and push him out on the lake and then pull him back in. That entertained him for a bit. All the kids loved the boat, the tube and the wave runners.
On Thursday we were able to go to Yellowstone. Ryan had never been and was really excited. We of course saw "Old Faithful" and a few other mineral pools. Then we went our separate ways and we were lucky enough to see a TON of bison, some deer and an otter. We all thought it was really fun.
By the end of the week, Sadie and I were coming down with something and by Saturday, the day to leave we were both feeling pretty horrible. We found out we all had strep throat and came home a day early.
In the end though, it was A LOT of fun and we can't wait to do it again. Thanks Cam and Brit for inviting us!
