Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday with my family. My parents took us all to the Red Barn in Santaquin. The kids had a GREAT time picking out their pumpkins. Addison and Sadie of course had to pick two each. We had a great time, thanks Mom and Dad.

The Ashman Crawleth

Asher has been crawling for over 2 weeks now and I am just getting around to posting it. He kicked his sister's trash as far as crawling goes. Addison and Sadie didn't crawl until they were over 9 months old so he is 6 weeks ahead of where they were at this age. I have mixed feelings with his crawling because he is into EVERYTHING! His favorite time is when I am getting ready in the mornings, he loves to get into whatever is under my bathroom counter. Oh well, it was going to happen sooner or later. Ignore the talking between Ryan and I.

Yesterday, we went with my family to get family pictures taken. The photographer who took them was AWESOME!!! She has a great personality and kept us laughing the whole time. Utah Game and Labor Day Weekend

Thursday, Sept. 3 was the first Ute home game. We took all the kids and had a good time. I left at halftime because Addie had school the next day and needed to get to bed at a decent time. It was Asher's first game and with the earplugs, the noise didn't scare him too bad.

The next day we left for Idaho to visit our best friends Cam and Brit. When we got there, Cam, Brit, Ryan, Aaron and I went golfing. It was my first time and I didn't do well but I had a lot of fun. We stayed with Brit's parents as usual and had a GREAT time. The kids played on the GINORMOUS water slide, helped Grandpa Les feed the horses every morning and played, played, played. At one point Brit's sister Brandi's son Garrett convinced Addie to climb into a pipe that helps water drain at the playground. Addie got stuck and Mikey (her boyfriend) was crying huge Crocodile tears because he was so worried about her. Luckily Aaron was there and pulled her out. She was fine, just covered in dirt. We had a talk about not crawling into any pipes anywhere.

We ate A LOT of great food and just had a good time hanging out with our friends that we miss daily.

Thanks Cam, Brit, Brandi, Aaron, Les and Dar for always welcoming us and taking such good care of us. Mikey's grandparents and cousins have become my kids grandparents and cousins. We love you guys!

Sadie's First Day of Preschool

My little Sadester woo got to start preschool yesterday. Ryan took the day off of work so that he could be there to take her too. She was so excited and insists that we call it "preschool" and not school. She did really well and had a huge smile on her face when I went to get her. I can't believe that she is old enough to be in preschool. They grow up TOO fast!

Addison Starts School!!!

The day finally arrived and Addison was finally able to go to kindergarten. She has been looking forward to this day since probably January. Last night with the help of magic confetti provided by her teacher, she actually fell right asleep. This is very rare for Addison since she has such a hard time settling down to sleep. We woke her up at 7:30 so she could eat breakfast and not be rushed. She was a little nervous as she was eating her breakfast but as soon as she was ready, it was all gone. She was ready about 30 minutes before it was time to leave so it was a very long 30 minutes. Finally it was time to leave and she was about half a block ahead of Ryan and I. We kept telling her to slow down and wait for us but she was just SO excited. When we got to school, she was able to play at the kindergarten playground until it was time to line up to go to class. One of her best friends is in her class and they stood in line together, Makayla in front of Addie with Addie's hands resting on Makayla's shoulders (Makayla is about 3 inches shorter than Addie). I didn't cry and I wasn't sad to see her go, I was so excited for her. My mom was SO worried that some kid was going to be mean to her. I reminded her that it was Addie and she can definitely hold her own. When I went back to pick her up, she was all smiles. She had such a good time in school and the first thing that she told me was that she couldn't wait to go back tomorrow. I have class Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 11 so I can't pick her up on those days. I am skipping class on Friday though so I can pick her up again. It was so much fun to pick her up so I want to finish out the week. I can't believe that she is already in school, how time flies.

We put a storm door on the front of our house last week and he loves to scoot up to it in his walker and look out.

He can spend anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes in his walker and be perfectly content. He has learned to chase his sisters and he loves to run over my toes or "bump" into the back of my heels. If he sees the pantry open, it is a mad dash to get into it before I shut the door. I love the walker because even though he starts out with toys on his tray, they quickly end up on the floor but there are so many other things that keep him occupied (like the stereo in the entry way).
