Asher's Birthday Party

We held Asher's party on Sunday since that was easier for everyone to get together. We just had family come for cake and ice cream. It was a lot of fun, here are a few pics.

I made him a Train Cake

My friend Nicole helped me decorate it

Happy 1st Birthday Asher!!!

I can't believe it, my baby is 1! How this past year has flown by, it really does seem like yesterday that he was born. Asher has been an absolute JOY to have around. He is the most smiley and happy baby that I have ever had. He is such a BOY! He loves to play with just about anything that is not an actual toy. His favorites are remotes and cell phones and he can throw a MAJOR fit when he is not given one or if it is taken away. He gets very excited when there are other kids his size to play with and because he is GINORMOUS he tends to beat on them a little. He is not trying to be mean, he just has a hard time controlling his excitement.
Asher is a true mama's boy and I LOVE it! Both the girls were partial to me as well, which is natural but with Asher it is so much more intense. I guess now I understand my mother a little better and her relationship with her sons. It has been so fun to have him, to have a boy. We love this little guy and we are so grateful and blessed to have him in our family. He brings such joy and happiness into our lives every day. Happy 1st Birthday Asher Boy, we love you!!!

Jr. Flash

We signed Addie up for Jr. Flash this year and tonight was her first game. She and one other girl are they only two on their team. I bought her a basketball yesterday and she dribbles pretty good but she is a little confused on defense and offense. Basically she plays defense both ways. Ryan and I are going to work with her a little so she understands a bit better but in reality she is only (almost) six and they are all a little confused. Here is some video and some pics from tonight, enjoy...

Maybe a little confused?

Sledding

On New Years, we went sledding with my parents and some of my brothers and sisters. All the kids had a GREAT time, especially Asher. When we first got there we put him and Sadie on the sled to pull them over to the hill and he immediately got this big grin on his face. He had no fear the entire time and LOVED to go down the hill. When it wasn't his turn, he was too impatient to wait and would start crawling/sliding down the hill on his own. Unfortunately, Ryan forgot that you can't turn the camera sideways and then flip it right side up when you take video so most of the video is goofy. Oh well...

Only a REAL man can pull off pink boots. That is what happens when you have handy downs from two older sisters. Just kidding, we will buy him his own when he learns to walk.

Asher absolutely LOVED it!

Aunt Nanny, Asher and Sadie in the background. I actually have proof that Sadie walked up the hill by herself. This is rare as she doesn't like to walk anywhere. She must ride in the cart or the stroller because her "feet hurt" so the mere fact that she did walk up the hill at least once is a major stepping stone!
